Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before applying for or accepting a scholarship through Masters Scholarship.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an application, sitting an examination, or otherwise engaging with any scholarship programme offered by Masters Scholarship — including the Student Bursary and the Merit Scholarship — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with your application.

2. Eligibility and Application Review

All applicants must meet the clearly defined eligibility criteria as outlined in the scholarship guidelines for the specific programme they are applying to. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any application that does not fulfil these requirements, at any stage of the review process.

  • Submission of incomplete, inaccurate, or false information may result in immediate disqualification, whether identified before or after an award decision.
  • To ensure a fair and consistent evaluation process, all required documents must be submitted by the stated deadlines for each application round.
  • Applications lacking the necessary documentation will not be considered for further review and will not be carried forward to a later round.
  • Applicants are limited to one application per edition of each individual scholarship programme; duplicate submissions may be disqualified.

3. Scholarship Award and Conditions

The scholarship is conditional and will be awarded only upon the student's successful admission and enrollment into the designated university or institution associated with the award.

  • The applicant must provide official proof of enrollment, such as a confirmation letter or student ID issued by the university, as part of the verification process.
  • Failure to enroll, or to submit sufficient proof of enrollment within the specified window, will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
  • A Student Bursary is awarded in addition to, and does not replace, any university-level or external scholarship you may separately be eligible for.
  • Scholarship values, award ranges, and cutoffs are determined annually and are subject to change between editions; the amount confirmed at the time of award is final for that edition.

4. Verification and Disbursement of Funds

Scholarship disbursement is strictly subject to confirmation of enrollment by the admitting institution.

  • Upon receiving official verification directly from the university, the scholarship amount will be processed and released according to the specified terms of that award.
  • Delays or failure in obtaining such verification may lead to postponement or cancellation of the scholarship disbursal.
  • Funds are disbursed in accordance with the payment method and schedule communicated at the time of award confirmation, and may vary by university or destination country.

5. Applicant Responsibilities

By applying, you agree to the following responsibilities throughout the application, award, and enrollment process:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information at every stage of your application, interview, or examination.
  • Promptly notify Masters Scholarship of any material change to your circumstances, including a change of university, programme, or intake, before it takes effect.
  • Respond to requests for documentation, interviews, or verification within the timelines communicated to you.
  • Conduct yourself professionally and ethically in all interactions with Masters Scholarship staff, panel members, and partner universities.

6. Revocation and Withdrawal of Scholarship

We reserve the absolute right to revoke, suspend, or withdraw the scholarship at any stage — including after disbursement has begun — under the following circumstances:

  • If the applicant is found to have misrepresented any facts or submitted false documents at any point in the process.
  • If there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any scholarship-specific terms communicated at the time of award.
  • If the student fails to maintain the required academic or enrollment status at the admitting institution.
  • If any unethical behaviour or misconduct on the part of the applicant is reported and verified.

Such decisions are final and binding, and may also include legal recourse if deemed necessary. Where a scholarship is revoked after funds have been disbursed, Masters Scholarship reserves the right to require repayment of the disbursed amount.

7. Limitation of Liability

Masters Scholarship acts as a facilitator connecting applicants with scholarship opportunities and, in the case of the Student Bursary, as the direct grantor of that award. We are not responsible for decisions made independently by partner universities regarding admission, enrollment, or their own scholarship programmes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Masters Scholarship disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from reliance on information provided on this website or from the outcome of any application, interview, or examination.

8. Amendments and Governing Law

Masters Scholarship reserves the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated revision date on this page, and continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws applicable in the jurisdictions in which Masters Scholarship operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
